K-5th Grade
Kid City meets in the Student Center that is located across from the Worship Center. We ensure that every child is safe by making it mandatory for all of our Children’s Ministry Volunteers to be carefully screened, submit to a background check, and attend a Child Protection Training Class. We also require that no child can leave the building until they are checked in and checked out by their parent or guardian using our computer operated check in system. If you are planning a visit to our church for the first time, we recommend that you come 15 minutes early to allow you enough time to create your new check-in account.

On Sundays, our Kid City class is split into two groups. Children in K-2nd grade meet upstairs in the Student Center and children in 3rd-5th grade meet downstairs in our Student Center. On Wednesday at 7 PM, during MDWK, K-5th grade meets together upstairs in the Student Center!
What We Teach:
Every Sunday we use a curriculum called 252 Basics. The name, 252 Basics, is inspired by Luke 2:52: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.”There are 3 basics truths, modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52, that we want every child to know by the time they leave 6th grade:
  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated

252 Basics is organized around key Bible stories that help kids discover Jesus and reflect His character to the world around them. Each month our lessons focus on one Life App/ Virtue. A each week our Life App/Virtue is supported by weekly Bottom Lines—short phrases that are easy to remember and can be reinforced at home throughout the week.

On the whole, 252 Basics invites kids into the Story of God, to show them the character of God, all while helping them internalize the 3 Basic Truths. We also throw in some unforgettable illustrations, music, activities, and graphics to capture their attention and keep it relevant.
252 Home:

252 Basics curriculum wouldn’t be complete without parent pieces to synchronize the home with what’s going on at church. Each week you will receive something called a “Parent CUE Card” We call them Parent CUES because they’re designed to “cue” parents to leverage everyday moments with their child to Connect to God’s story, to Uncover something about life, and to Experience something together. These cards help you know what your child  talked about during Large Group, as well as help you continue the conversation at home.

Each week your child(ren) will receive a GodTime Card. The GodTime Cards help children establish a consistent devotional experience. Each card contains 4 devotions designed to be done on different days. Each devotion contains a verse to read, an activity that makes real-life application of the day’s devotion, and a suggested prayer. And for a mobile solution, look for the Parent CUE App available for iPhone, iPad or Android.  Another great way to stay connected with Kid City is by liking our Facebook Page.
